Community Needs for Covid-19

You are the eyes and ears on the ground, and we want to hear from you. While we can’t make promises about what we can support, it is helpful to know directly from our partners what needs you are seeing as this situation escalates. Please give us your input. It will be helpful as we work with donors to prioritize and continue to address this issue in our region.  Take this quick, 3 question survey to keep us informed on community needs:

Our ultimate goal is to be sure that organizations working with the people and families who are most vulnerable and disproportionately impacted by the coronavirus and economic consequences of the outbreak are supported.

Nonprofits providing services towards basic needs are encouraged to apply to our Urgent Needs Fund here.

  • Registration
Choose a login name and password to create your user account in eGrant. Whenever possible, utilize a general email, rather than an email tied to an individual within your organization – e.g.

    Application of Intent
This provides our staff with an overview of your program that allows them to determine if your project fits CFOC grant priorities, timeline and budget.  Ideally the Application of Intent should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the posted grant deadline, however, we can be flexible.  Give us a call to discuss your proposal.

All organizations submitting an application of intent will be contacted within three business days or sooner. Following staff approval of the application of intent, you may begin working on your full application.

Because of limited financial resources at this time, the Foundation generally makes only one-time grant commitments up to $3,000. Longer term commitments may be considered for initiatives that show exceptional promise for community impact.

    Grant Application
The last step of the process is submission of your detailed proposal, or grant application, for review by our volunteer Grant Review Committee and CFOC staff members. Grantees that desire feedback on their application are invited to submit a full proposal 15 days prior to the deadline. CFOC staff will review the proposal and offer suggestions. All final decisions are made by our Board of Trustees.

If your program is supported with a grant, you will be required to submit a final grant report to share the impact of your project.
