Choose a login name and password to create your user account in GoApply. New this year, multiple people from your organization may work on one application!Application of Intent
This provides our staff with an overview of your program that allows them to determine if your project fits CFOC grant priorities, timeline, and budget. Ideally, the Application of Intent should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the posted grant deadline, however, we can be flexible. Give us a call to discuss your proposal. All organizations submitting an application of intent will be contacted within three business days or sooner. Following staff approval of the application of intent, you may begin working on your full application.
Because of limited financial resources at this time, the Foundation generally makes only one-time grant commitments up to $5,000. Longer-term commitments may be considered for initiatives that show exceptional promise for community impact.
Grant Application
The last step of the process is the submission of your detailed proposal, or grant application, for review by our volunteer Grant Review Committee and CFOC staff members. Grantees that desire feedback on their application are invited to submit a full proposal 15 days prior to the deadline. CFOC staff will review the proposal and offer suggestions. All final decisions are made by our Board of Trustees. If your program is supported by a grant, you will be required to submit a final grant report to share the impact of your project.

Community Grant Rounds
We give grants to 501(c)(3) organizations, churches, schools, agencies, and governmental units serving the greater Oceana County area. Please review our grant guidelines and instructions before starting your application. All grant applications will be submitted in our online portal, goApply. As this is a new grant portal, all applicants will need to create a new username and password. Below you will find our anticipated schedule for our 2022 grant cycles.
Camp Scholarships
The Shelby Rotary Club and the Foundation are pleased to offer the opportunity for Oceana youth to attend camp this summer. Camp experiences bring new skills and self-worth to our youth and build up the 4 C’s within them; compassion, contribution, commitment, and character. The Rotary Club and CFOC donors realize this impact, and work to ensure camp experiences are accessible to all, regardless of financial status.
Awards are capped at $250 per applicant, but higher requests will be evaluated according to available funding. All awards will be paid directly to the camps and are available for any type of camping focus – arts, sports, scouts, church, general, and leadership experiences.
Deadline to apply is April 15, 2023. Preference is given to first-time requests.
