Some people leave a mark on a community that time can never erase. Cindy Lewis was one of those people—someone whose warmth, creativity, and boundless enthusiasm shaped Oceana County in unforgettable ways.
What began as a small farm market grew—through Cindy’s vision, passion, and sheer determination—into Lewis Adventure Farm & Zoo, a beloved destination where thousands of families have discovered joy, curiosity, and connection. To walk through the farm was to experience Cindy’s spirit firsthand: the wonder of seeing alpacas up close, the delight of meeting a zebra for the first time, the laughter of children running through the orchard or feeding the animals. Cindy poured her whole heart into creating a place where memorable experiences were not just possible, but inevitable.
Her bright smile became part of the magic. Visitors looked forward not only to the animals and activities, but also to the feeling of being welcomed—genuinely and wholeheartedly—by Cindy herself. She treated every guest like part of the farm family.
But at the center of everything Cindy did was her own family, the people she cherished most. Working side by side with them was one of her greatest sources of joy. She celebrated their accomplishments, supported their dreams, and proudly contributed to the thriving business they built together. Those fortunate enough to know Cindy knew how deeply she loved, how generously she gave, and how wholeheartedly she lived.
Cindy Anne Lewis passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 56. And while her absence is felt profoundly, her impact continues to shine—on the farm she helped create, in the community she loved, and in the hearts of those who were touched by her kindness.
To honor that legacy, Cindy’s family has established the Cindy Lewis Memorial Fund at the Oceana Community Foundation. This advised fund will support projects that reflect her dreams, her dedication, and the joyful spirit she brought to everything she touched. Through this fund, Cindy’s influence will continue to grow—nurturing the community she cared for so deeply.
Cindy’s story is one of vision, love, and an extraordinary ability to bring people together. Her legacy lives on—not only in the places she built, but in the joy she inspired. 🌿💙
