Investing in the Future

When Jamall Johnson received the Moses J. Jones Scholarship in 1991, it did more than lead him to graduate with honors from his beloved Grambling State University. It planted the seed of an idea to help other young African Americans pursuing a college education at Grambling State.

Once his career took off as a senior marketing executive with Pfizer, he made his dream a reality. Jamall and his wife, Ginger, donated Pfizer stock to create the Johnson Family- Grambling State University Scholarship Fund to help young African Americans from Muskegon County attend Grambling or another historically black college.

With his gift, Jamall became the youngest person to establish a scholarship fund and the first scholarship recipient to do so! He now lives in Minnesota with his family and is a senior account representative for 3M.
